about

So, Bandcamp Friday is this Friday and I found an interesting track in the archives that is my music HD. This is an extended version of Sinestrocore, a track from the excellent "Middle of Nowhere" album by the amazing Adam Warrock.

At this point in 2013, I had done a few tracks for Adam. It was weird to work with someone else on music since I almost never had worked with anyone in the past. Much less some one with some decent indie success like Adam. He was pretty easy to work with, as far as he would hit me up with an idea for a track for a project he had coming up and I would comb through the endless ideas and half-finished ideas/beats and send him a handful and see what stuck. Very rarely would there be any bumps in the road outside some timing issues or something like that that would be difficult due to not being in the same room together.

This was pretty cool since it was going to be on his album and would feature Tribe One, another amazing artist. I wanted to hit this out of the park. I remember that the production wasn't too stressful, other than having to send the working tracks to two different people instead of just one person. I felt like it turned out pretty good. This version is a little more "rough" mix. (Something that would go on to be one of my trademarks) On top of that, there's a weird callback reprise at the end of the track that I just thought was cool. Kind of a nod to my remix days. The whole track turned out cool, other than the fact that I'm only credited on the physical CD version of the album. The online version of the track is credited to DJ Empirical, who is a cool guy and really good artist. The album is delisted and isn't available on streaming anymore anyway.

Anyway, sorry for not being around. I'll be better about updating in the future. Thanks for paying any attention to my stuff.
