about

In 2001(ish), I started performing live. In the sense that I played my music on stage while people either didn't pay any attention or were completely dumbfounded at what they were seeing. Playing electronic music in the midwest that wasn't in a warehouse rave somewhere was pretty taboo and in a post-punk rock town, it was pretty difficult to connect.

When I started performing, All I had was a Roland JX-305, An Akai S20 sampler and a SP-202 patched into various mixers. A few times, I brought my whole computer system to shows. Its sucked.

This collection is all the songs I played live through the early days of JFX316. They're all over the place, but I feel like you can hear and feel the direction I would go into through them. The recordings are a little lofi, (the real lofi, not plugins to make your perfect mix sound like crap) but that's how it was back then. Recording into a 4 track with no computer. It's not a old man "back in my day" flex, I just remember how it was back then.

Thanks for listening and I hope you dig it........
